The Golden State Great Pyrenees Rescue and Sanctuary

We are a unique rescue in many ways:

• Our dogs are cared for around the clock. Not only are there cameras around the whole location but an actual human is nearby at all times.

• We expose and train our dogs with livestock, poultry and waterfowl.

• They are raised in a ranch and family setting.

• We crate and leash train all of our dogs because sometimes you will need to crate them and eliminates chasing them and/or losing them.

• Although some believe they are “set-it and forget-it” type of dogs we spend a lot of time training and bonding them to humans and animals.

• They are nocturnal so we train them during the night time as well especially new arrivals.

• We do our best to match each person with a dog that will work best for their setup and personalities as these dogs do best when bonded with their shepherd.

• We encourage all our adopters to contact us for any training issue. We are always there for our dogs even after they leave us.
