Adopt
We rehabilitate and train rescued Livestock Guardian Dogs, preparing them for meaningful work on ranches and homesteads nationwide. Adopting a Livestock Guardian Dog is more than bringing home a pet — it’s welcoming a working partner who will protect your livestock, safeguard your land, and become a trusted part of your family. At our sanctuary, every guardian is rescued, rehabilitated, and prepared for meaningful work. These dogs are not just survivors — they are protectors, carefully matched to the farms and ranches where they can thrive.

Our Adoption Process
Finding forever homes, one paw at a time.
Step 1: The Application
The first step toward meeting your new best friend is to tell us a little about yourself! Click here to complete our Online Adoption Application
Our team will review your application and reach out to you as soon as possible.
Step 2: The Meet & Greet
We love bringing pets and people together! Once your application is approved, we can schedule a time for you to meet your potential new family member.
Note: In certain circumstances, the Meet & Greet may be waived at the rescue’s discretion.
Step 3: Agreements & Acknowledgments
To ensure a safe and happy transition, we’ll ask you to review and sign our:
Adoption Agreement: Outlining the care and commitment for your new pet.
Adoption Fee Acknowledgment: Clear transparency on the costs that help us save more lives.
Step 4: Finalizing Your Adoption
Once the paperwork is signed and the adoption fee is processed, it’s official!
Step 5: Going Home
The best part! We will work with you to arrange a pickup time or coordinate transportation to get your newest family member safely to their new home.
Why is there an Adoption Fee?
As a rescue, we often deal with medical challenges—from routine vaccinations to life-saving treatments like the Parvo Monoclonal Antibody. Your adoption fee doesn’t just cover your pet; it acts as a "pay-it-forward" donation that allows us to rescue the next animal in need.
Adoption Commitment & Policies
A Lifelong Partnership
Adopting a Livestock Guardian Dog — or any of our sanctuary animals — is a serious, lifelong commitment. These dogs are not typical pets; they are working guardians with instincts and needs that must be respected.
LGDs require:
Consistent training to mature into reliable protectors
Frequent barking, which is part of their natural duty
Patience, structure, and resources dedicated to their success
Before applying, please be sure you’re ready to meet these needs with understanding and long-term dedication.
Return Policy
Fees are non-refundable and serve as a donation that supports the ongoing care of every animal in our rescue.
If an adoption does not work out, we will do our best to welcome the animal back into our sanctuary. However:
Immediate intake may not be possible, especially in cases of aggression
If the animal has lived with you for an extended period, we may request an additional donation to help cover future care
These policies allow us to continue rescuing, rehabilitating, and responsibly placing guardians for years to come.
Our Promise
Every adoption comes with lifetime support. If challenges arise — whether training, livestock introduction, or behavior concerns — we’re here to help. The success of both the animal and adopter matters deeply to us.
Together, we can ensure every guardian finds their place, and every adopter feels supported.
