Before adopting from us please consider the following:

  • Are you committed to the dog for it's LIFETIME?

  • If you sale your stock will you still be committed to the dog or will you return it?

  • These dogs are not automatically an LGD it's not even instinctive. It is 100% in the training. It takes 2 solid years of consistent training for them to be 100% trustworthy with the animals do you have the time and patience to train it?

  • If the dog kills an animal (usually birds) will you have the patience to train it or will you return?

  • This breeds first line of defense is barking so they tend to bark A LOT at the beginning is that going to be an issue?

  • LGDs work best in pairs can you deal with a pair?

  • This breed is very independent, extremely smart and stubborn because they need to outsmart predators, is that something you can work with?

  • They cover large territory and unless bonded to their Shepard this breed has a history of roaming is that something you can work with and trained them on?

Your adoption fee covers only a portion of the cost to rescue and care for an animal before they are adopted. We provide veterinary care, microchips, vaccinations, spay/neuter (depending on age) and daily care (food, water, toys, treats, supplies, grooming, and a human to care for them 24/7). We take care of the animals medical needs which often run into the thousands of dollars. Please understand that the prices below are just a guideline and certain animals may have a higher or lower adoption fee due to special circumstances.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ON ADOPTIONS, If, you return an animal for whatever reason, your adoption fee becomes a TAX-DEDUCTIBLE donation. PLEASE think hard about the commitment of raising an animal. They are demanding, they need consistency, training, time, resources and especially patience. Keep in mind these dogs use barking to scare off predators so please consider that and whatever amount of barking you are thinking its probably at least twice as bad. Please note after a dog or cat has been in the home for months or years, we ask adopters for a donation when returning an animal to assist with its continued care. We CANNOT always immediately take back adopted animals once they have been adopted, or if they have exhibited serious aggression towards other animals or humans we ask for your patience and collaboration on the matter.
