Adopt a Livestock Guardian Dog (LGD) — A Working Partner for Your Farm or Ranch
Adopting a Livestock Guardian Dog is more than bringing home a pet — it’s welcoming a working partner who will protect your livestock, safeguard your land, and become a trusted part of your family.
At our sanctuary, every guardian is rescued, rehabilitated, and prepared for meaningful work. These dogs are not just survivors — they are protectors, carefully matched to the farms and ranches where they can thrive.
Like all working breeds, Livestock Guardian Dogs are not born knowing their job. It takes 18–24 months of consistent guidance, patience, and training before they grow into reliable protectors.
✅ Genetics provide the instinct.
✅ Your commitment builds the partnership.
✅ Our support ensures you’re never alone in the process.
When you adopt through our sanctuary, you gain more than a dog — you gain lifelong guidance and a dedicated support system. From first introductions to ongoing training questions, we stand by every dog and adopter for life.
Because here, no guardian is ever left behind.

Adoption Commitment & Policies
A Lifelong Partnership
Adopting a Livestock Guardian Dog or any of our sanctuary animals is a lifelong commitment. These are not typical companion pets — they are working partners with instincts and needs that must be respected.
They require training and consistency to grow into dependable guardians.
They bark — often and loudly — as part of their natural duty to protect their territory.
They thrive with patience, structure, and resources dedicated to their success.
Before applying, please make sure you are ready to meet these needs with dedication and understanding.
Return Policy
While we do not offer refunds on adoptions, your adoption fee is considered a donation that supports the ongoing care of all our animals.
If an adoption does not work out, we will always do our best to welcome the animal back into our sanctuary. However:
Immediate intake may not always be possible, especially if the dog has shown aggression.
If a dog or cat has lived in your home for months or years, we may kindly request an additional donation to help cover their continued care.
This policy ensures we can continue to rescue, rehabilitate, and responsibly place guardians for years to come.
Our Promise
Every adoption is backed by lifetime support. If challenges arise, we’re here to guide you — because the success of both the animal and adopter matters deeply to us.
Together, we can ensure every guardian finds their place, and every adopter feels supported on the journey.
