Surrenders
Golden State Great Pyrenees rescue and Sanctuary does NOT guarantee that we will accept your dog as we cannot take in dogs that have shown ANY signs of aggression, or have bitten an animal or human.
Sometimes, individuals find it necessary to surrender their pets due to unexpected life changes or unforeseen circumstances. Studies show that changing owners is very traumatic for pets. Our goal is to keep as many dogs as we can with their loving family and out of rescues and shelters. Please go thru the section below see if we can help you keep your pet.

I don’t have enough time for my dog?
Studies show that you don’t need to spend all day with your dog for them to be healthy and well adjusted. Simply 15 minutes of one-on-one time with their shepherd per day does the trick! Obviously the more the merrier you can start adding additional time as your situation changes. You could simply sit on the sofa watching TV, or lay in bed together, play ball, fetch, basic training, go for a walk or jog nothing too excessive there are activities for all health levels.. Pets have shown they reduce stress and can add years to your life so make the time for you and your dog a priority. Remember just 15 minutes a day and then add to it as you can.
