Some guardians protect homes, not herds
Not every livestock guardian dog is suited for the field — some are happiest by your side. These rescued Great Pyrenees and LGD breeds have gentle temperaments and thrive as loving family companions.
Each dog is health-checked, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered. Some are currently in foster homes, so while they may not have been temperament tested by our staff, their foster families provide valuable insights about their behavior in home settings.
By adopting, you’re saving a life and helping us continue our mission to protect both dogs and livestock through responsible placement.

Companion Guardian
Wendy
Female - Born in 2020- Great Pyrenees

Some dogs are so special they get a head start! This new intake is currently in a Foster-to-Adopt trial. A dedicated supporter is helping us rescue them by providing a home environment immediately while they decide if they are the perfect permanent match.
Juno
Female - Born 2024 - Great Pyrenees
If you are looking for a stunning, affectionate companion to join you on hikes, walks, and couch-cuddles, meet Juno! She is estimated to be about 2 years old and is officially ready to find her forever people.
Juno is a special girl who needs the right environment to truly thrive. Here is the honest scoop on Miss Juno:
Juno is an absolute dream on a leash! She walks beautifully and is always ready for an outdoor adventure. She is a total lovebug who thrives on human attention and loves getting pets.
Juno is looking for a home where she can be a spoiled family pet or a companion dog on a hobby ranch—provided there is no small livestock around!
Juno is definitely not a working Livestock Guardian Dog (LGD). She has a high prey drive/play drive when it comes to smaller animals, and she will chase chickens, baby goats, and lambs. Because of this, she cannot be placed in a working guard role or on a farm with loose, small livestock.
Juno is a vibrant, loving young dog who just wants to be part of the family. If you have a secure yard, love going for walks, and don’t have a flock of birds or baby livestock for her to chase, Juno might just be the perfect addition to your pack!

Angel
Female - Born September 2025 - Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd mix
Angel is proof that big things come in small packages. Though she was discarded along with her siblings, her spirit remained unbroken. She is playful and spunky, bringing a sense of joy and fierce determination to her foster home.

Chloe
Female- Born September 2024 - Great Pyrenees
Chleo was surrendered to us because her famiily is moving to North Carolina and can't take her. She has been living in an apartment. She loves to play, run and having other dogs as companions. She is female aggressive and would do best in a home with another male Great Pyrenees. She is house broken, potty trained and kennel trained. Low barker.
Unlike many Pyrs who prefer to stay outside, Chleo is a total pro at being a house dog.
House-broken & Potty Trained: No accidents here!
Kennel Trained: She views her crate as her safe space.
Low Barker: While most Pyrs want to alert you to every leaf that falls, Chleo is remarkably quiet, making her a perfect neighbor.
Her Personality & Play Style
Chleo is a social butterfly when it comes to humans and her chosen "pack mates." She is high-energy, loves to run, and thrives when she has a canine companion to keep her company. She is a playful soul who needs an active family to keep up with her "zoomies."
The Perfect Match
Chleo has one specific rule for her new home: She is the only Queen of the castle.
* Female Aggressive: Chleo does not get along with other female dogs. Male Companion Wanted: She would do best in a home with a submissive or balanced male Great Pyreneescompanion. Having a "big brother" to play with is her idea of heaven!
If you have a male dog looking for a playful sister, and you want a Pyr who already knows the "house rules," Chleo is your girl. She’s ready to leave her apartment life behind for a yard to run in and a family to love.

Snow
Female - 2 Years old - Central Asian Shepherd
Some Livestock Guardian Dogs want to spend their lives patrolling the perimeter under the stars, but Snow has decided her true calling is being a professional companion. This 2-year-old Central Asian Shepherd (Alabai) is a powerful, ancient soul who has traded the field for the living room. If you are looking for a massive, loyal shadow to keep your feet warm while you drink your coffee, Snow is your girl.
Snow is an absolute “velcro” dog who is incredible with humans and has a special, gentle affinity for children. While she is fantastic with goats, she has a high prey drive for anything with feathers, so she requires a strictly bird-free, cat-free home. She is spayed and up-to-date on all vetting.
Snow needs a family that understands the discerning and protective nature of the CAS breed but wants a devoted best friend to live primarily inside the home. She isn’t just an outdoor worker; she is a dedicated family protector ready for her forever home.
